About the group

Low Barns Photography Group is a club for photographers of all abilities who enjoy wildlife, nature and general photography and are based at Durham Wildlife Trust’s Low Barns reserve.

The club meets at the reserve on the third Wednesday of every month and also holds informal meetings on the first Monday of each month. Club members are asked to arrive for 7.00 p.m. for a 7.15 p.m. start.  If you look at the events calendar you will find details of past and future monthly presentations. Please feel free to come along to meet the Group and find out more.

There is a £10 annual membership fee, and a monthly subscription of £2 for members attending the monthly meetings.  This will be covered by  an additional £10 at the start of the year to cover all monthly subscriptions.

The members area has details of arranged trips for club members, competitions and exhibitions.

How to find us

Low Barns lies half way between the villages of  Witton-le-Wear and High Grange in County Durham. The reserve off Low Lane which links the A68 and A689.
The reserve is signposted. Look for the signs which are brown with the sign of a duck on them.
You can see the entrance branching south east off Low Lane into the central green area of the map below.
